We are based in central Wisconsin and will deliver our Tiny Homes anywhere across the continental United States. Shipping is calculated on a per-request basis.
2. Do you build Park Model homes in addition to Tiny Homes?
Our focus is only on Tiny Homes so Park Model homes fall outside our work. A Park Model home is about as close as you can get to a manufactured home while still being considered a type of RV (recreational vehicle). Most are really only moved once – from the manufacturer to its final location. Tiny Homes are much more mobile and versatile. They are generally less square footage than park models and make for a more efficient use of space.
3. Can Northern Tiny Living build custom tiny homes?
Custom Tiny Homes are our specialty! It is our belief that a home should be tailored to the needs of its occupants … a Tiny Home is no exception.
4. How much does a tiny home cost?
The cost of a Tiny Home, much like a typical structure, really depends upon the quality of materials being used. A good rule of thumb for your “back-of-the-envelope” estimating is to budget between $200-$300 per square foot.
5. Does Northern Tiny Living offer financing?
Tiny Homes are relatively new to the financing world. However, we are in the process of working with a local community bank to have them offer exclusive financing options for our Tiny Home buyers!

6. What is the payment process?
We start our projects with a free quote/estimate and when a design is settled upon, we accept a 50% down-payment on construction. The remaining amount will be due upon completion.
7. Can I insure a tiny home?

8. How long does it take to build a tiny home?
Generally, our builds can take from 6-10 weeks depending on the complexity of the project. If you’ve got time constraints or related considerations we will make every effort to work with you.
9. What utility hookups do I need on site?
Our Tiny Homes run everything off of a 30 amp electrical breaker. We are exploring the use of solar battery packs in our builds and are excited at the benefits they could provide.
10. Can you build a tiny home for off-grid living?
Tiny Homes can very easily be set up for off-grid living. Our builds generally have 55 gallons of fresh-water storage and 2 30-gallon waste tanks.
11. How does a tiny home hold up in cold winter climes?
Having our home base in central Wisconsin, we understand the importance of a well insulated structure – both for comfort and energy savings. The floors and walls of our Tiny Homes boast an R-21 insulation value and the ceilings have R-35. We also build with two heat sources: a ductless mini-split and two electric wall heaters ensure a toasty environment no matter what mother nature is throwing at you!
12. What do I need to tow my tiny home?
We recommend pulling your Tiny Home with a 3/4 ton truck or bigger.
13. Do you deliver tiny homes?
Absolutely! We will deliver anywhere in the continental United States. Delivery rates are determined on a per-request basis.
